Members of the ASHE Awards and Recognition Task Force meet to review the applications for and vote to select recipients for the following awards:
- Crystal Eagle
- Regional Leader
- Excellence in Health Care Facility Management
- Ilse B Almanza scholarship recipients
Regular duties:
- Read and understand the criteria for all of the above-mentioned awards thoroughly.
- Access all award applications and supporting documentation via SharePoint (Microsoft account required).
- Review all award applications and supporting documentation thoroughly prior to virtual meetings.
- Meet virtually via MS Teams (2-4) times a year (typically in the spring) to discuss and vote on winner(s).
New tasks for 2024:
- Meet as needed to accomplish new tasks.
- Collaborate with ASHE staff on suggested scoring criteria and process.
Requirements:
- Must be an ASHE member in good standing
- Must not be currently serving on another ASHE committee or task force
- Must not be a current applicant for any of the above-mentioned awards
Preferred:
- Previous award recipients of the above-mentioned awards
- Previous experience serving on an awards selection group with ASHE or a similar organization
Length of term:
- Members are expected to serve on the task force for a minimum of three years.
- Members can also serve as task force chair or vice chair - each a one-year term.
- The maximum term for a member to serve on the task force would be five years (three years as a task force member, plus one year as vice chair followed by one year as chair).
