Are you an expert in assessing and managing risk in health care facilities? ASHE needs your help! We are looking for volunteers to serve as subject matter experts (SMEs) for our upcoming HCFM Handbook & Education Series installment on Managing Risk.
This handbook will teach facilities managers about the risk life cycle and offer best practices for identifying, analyzing and taking steps to mitigate risks related to the health care physical environment — including risks to business continuity, emergency preparedness and management, asset management, and health facility design and construction.
SME volunteers must meet the following qualifications to participate:
-
5+ years experience overseeing the assessment and mitigation of risk in the health care physical environment, including natural, technological, human and cyber risk; asset management; construction risks; and accounting for risk in health care facility design.
SMEs will be selected in late June and interviewed by the book’s author starting in July 2025. Total time commitment for the project is 4-5 hours stretched over several months.
