Are you a healthcare facilities emergency management and compliance expert? ASHE needs your help! We are looking for volunteers to serve as subject matter experts (SMEs) for our upcoming Compliance Core Competency e-Learning Module on Emergency Planning and Management.
This educational module will help healthcare facilities managers learn compliance requirements around assessing vulnerabilities within their facility, coordinating emergency management, developing trainings and drills for emergency and system failure scenarios, and documenting plans and policies.
Preferred qualifications for SME volunteers:
- 5+ years' experience managing a healthcare facility.
- Multiple years experience in Emergency Management and Planning (conducting HVAs, leading or participating in multidisciplinary emergency planning teams, testing and drilling plans and post-event analysis, etc.)
- Experience working in your organization’s incident command.
SME volunteers can anticipate:
- Focus group calls with an instructional designer
- E-learning module review responsibilities
SMEs will be selected in mid-August and project kickoff will begin shortly after selections are made. Total time commitment for contributors for the project is up to 12-15 hours over the course of 5 months.
If you're interested in this opportunity, please complete our online application before EOD Thursday August 13th (8/13). For questions, please reach out to April Damon at adamon@aha.org.
